The University of Kentucky Rugby Club is proud to announce the return of the Kentucky Rugby Camp for June 6th and 7th, 2026. This immersive experience is designed for highschool male athletes (ages 15–19) with at least one highschool season of experience who are looking to test themselves against the "Kentucky Standard."
This year, participants will receive direct instruction from the UK Rugby coaching staff—fresh off years of success that include Mint City Bowl CRAA, back-to-back NCR National Championships, many conference titles and an Elite 8 birth—alongside the multitime High School 7s National Champion Panthers coach. Current UK players and special guest coaches will also be on hand to provide tactical insights and position-specific mentorship.
Midwest Thuderbirds partnership!
For athletes from Ilinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, this will serve as a talent ID camp for the Midwest Thunderbirds’ invite-only Summer Camp where the best players in the Midwest tryout for Thunderbird teams competing in national competitions against other regional all star teams.”
The Full University Experience
The camp offers more than just high level training; it provides a true window into collegiate life. Campers will stay in the UK dorms and eat in the campus dining halls, with an optional Friday night stay available for those traveling from out of town. Beyond the pitch, the experience includes a taste of campus culture, team-building activities, and exclusive "swag" for every participant.
Training Environment
The 2026 camp is structured to mirror a professional rugby academy. The weekend is packed with high-intensity large and small group sessions focused on skill refinement and tactical awareness. To ensure every athlete gets the most out of the weekend, the camp features:

This camp is for high school male participants. Participants must have completed at least one season of rugby, finished their freshman year of high school, and be no older than 19 at the time of camp. Please email info@kentuckyrugby.org to seek an exception before registering.
